Interloper are a real rock n’ roll band. Anthemic songs that hit you like a juggernaut and leave you crying out for more. They’ve got meaning and soul, and they are a band to get into right now!

Interloper are Paul Mortlock, Sam Wood and Luke Wastell. The band are currently ‘flying high’ having recorded three superb tracks at The Animal Farm, London. The lead song, This Town, is an infectious blend of indie pop rock, infused with the band’s myriad influences, bottling up their on-stage energy in a classic three minutes. Time and People Right On join This Town and make this Interloper’s best recording yet.

The Animal Farm sessions were undoubtedly enhanced by the band’s 2007 tour, which saw Interloper leaving England and heading to Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond. Support of The Pigeon Detectives took the band to a new high and Interloper were exposed to some much larger gigs (1000 and counting on one particularly heady evening!). The band revelled in reaching new audiences and recruited a host of new fans. But where did it all begin…?

This early period culminated in a session at Sanctuary Studios, London. A track called 'Love Yourself' was recorded, and selected as part of a song writing competition on Radio 1. A deluge of mail followed requesting everything from live appearances to more material.

From 2005 onwards, Interloper decamped to Birmingham for heavy rehearsal, playing whenever, wherever; cutting their teeth on the local musical landscape. Reactions were rapturous and the songs, delivered with the uniqueness of Paul’s vocal, seemed to captivate the crowds.

At the end of 2006, the band returned to London. Working with new management, they set about working clubs and bars across the capital, bringing home their new songs and a polished stage performance. In 2007, they struck out alone taking their music nationwide, all the time adding to their burgeoning fanbase, playing to excited university audiences and making new waves...
